- HostDB Lead Developer
- Aug 2006 – Present
- HostDB is a web based system which provides a single point in which users can see all of their server related information, giving them a instant overview of systems and their compliance. Currently HostDB contains nearly 2000 hosts from across IBM. I am responsible for coordinating the development and support of HostDB.

- Working as part of a team running database systems (DB2 and IMS) on z/OS.
- Leave of Absence

- I spent my leave of absence working as a volunteer alongside the Anglican
Church in Salto, Uruguay. This involved working with young people in a youth group, Sunday school
and a food program.
- Storage Management
- May 2000 – Aug 2003
- During my time in the Storage team at IBM Hursley, my main role was in the administration of the site backup system using Tivoli Storage Manager. I was involved in providing user support, programming to automate some of the routine tasks. I also developed a web-based user administration system in Perl to interface with the Tivoli Storage Manager servers and allow users to see the status of their backups and perform basic tasks such as requesting accounts and reseting passwords.

- This involved non-technical areas such as presentation skills, and teamwork as well as technical skills such as programming and software design.
Volunteer Experience
- Anglican Church, Salto, Uruguay
- Aug 2003 – Aug 2004
- During my leave of absence from IBM, my wife and I went to Uruguay through the South American Mission Society and worked alongside the Anglican
Church in there in Salto. This mainly involved working with young people in a poor neighbourhood, we helped out with the food program, ran the Sunday school and set up a youth group at the request of the children. We were also involved in the bible study groups and I also preached twice in the church services while the minister was away. As a side project while I was there I set up a website for the diocese.
- St Luke's Church, Southsea
- Aug 2000 – Sep 2005
- During my time at St Luke's, I set up and maintained the website which I developed completely with a full content management system and organisational system for church administration coded in ASP. I was involved in leading services fairly regularly, played guitar in the worship group and was a member of the Parochial Church Council for 4 years and chaired the meetings while we were without a minister.

Interests and activities
I’m a member of St Luke’s Church (Southsea), and before my year in Uruguay, I usually led a
Sunday service once a month. I also played in the worship group.
I’m also interested in Design, Languages and Music. I run a few websites in my spare time and have developed a content management system coded in ASP.
