Abi

Trained!

Posted by mummy - Comment on this Not quite sure how it happened, I think Abi just decided she's had enough of this pull up nonsense and decided to go for it.  So she's now been dry for almost 2 weeks (apart from at night), including while she was ill which I thought was quite something.  The travel potty has proved to be invaluable and we don't leave home without it.

She does frustrate me when I ask her if she needs to go before we leave the house and she responds with "no, I'm alright now."  Then 5 minutes later I hear a cry from the backseat, "Mummy, I need a weewee!".  Then it's a race against time to find somewhere to stop, get the travel potty ready and get her out of her seat and onto the potty.  So far this hasn't happened on the motorway for which I am very grateful.  I have no idea how long she can hold it for.

Although its taken a good couple of months it has been surprisingly stress-free, after I'd got over the thought that she HAD to be trained in 2 weeks.
